"Caitlin Ellis Sports Massage" was established in 2021 By Caitlin Ellis and is currently practicing at Randpark Ridge Family Chiropractic. Caitlin is fully mobile and willing to travel to sports events and with teams.

Caitlin Ellis is a registered Therapeutic Massage Therapist registered with Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA) and Board of Health Care Funders (B.H.F)

Caitlin Is specialising in Sports Massage and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

​

Caitlin graduated from Camelot International in 2020 with a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage Therapy. Caitlin also obtained diplomas with International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC) in sports massage, Holistic Massage, Anatomy and physiology, professional conduct and Business Awareness

Caitlin Ellis is a certified Lympodema therapist. (CLT)

Caitlin obtained her certification in Durbanville, Cape Town on 11 April 2025 through Lymph Medical Academy. The course ran over 3 months, doing theory online of 60 hours and 90 hours of live attendance continuing eduction. 

​

This certificates means Caitlin can treat clients in or out of hospital that has lymphodema, lipo-lymphodema or cancer.

 

Caitlin obtained her certificate in personal training in 2018 through Fitpro and mastered many short course including strapping and sports conditioning.

​

As a Registered Therapeutic massage therapist, Caitlin specialize in helping clients recover from injuries and prevent future ones through evidence-based techniques and personalized care. With a deep understanding of anatomy, kinesiology, and rehabilitative massage, I work closely with each client to support healing, improve mobility, and reduce chronic pain.

Whether you’re recovering from a sports injury, managing a repetitive strain condition, or simply seeking to stay proactive in your wellness routine, my goal is to help you move better, feel better, and live pain-free. I combine modalities such as deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and neuromuscular techniques to deliver results-driven sessions tailored to each individual’s needs.

I am passionate about empowering my clients with knowledge about their bodies and encouraging preventative care to minimize future injuries. My practice is grounded in compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to helping others restore balance and function in their daily lives.

Caitlin Ellis made provincial teams in four different sports, triathlons, hockey, girl’s cricket and gymnastics.

 

Caitlin has participated in Durban half Ironman 2022, PE half  Ironman 2023 and 2024

Sports Massage

Sports Massage is concerned with the management, manipulation and rehabilitation of the soft tissues of the body. It Combines classic and specialised techniques designed to provide therapeutics impact for the unique physical and biomechanical needs of athletes. Sports massage aims at alleviating the stress and tension which builds up within the body’s soft tissues during this maximum physical activity.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic massage is a technique that uses a lighter touch for oedema or swelling of tissues related to illness, injury or cancer treatment. It is used for the reduction of build-up, removing toxins, and strengthening the immune system.

Pregnancy Massage 

Pregnancy Massage is a traditional parenting practice in India and many other parts of the world, where generations of mothers have benefited from our unique touch massage. It provides a loving connection between parent and baby starting early in life, supporting the strengthening of this attachment as baby grows.

Negative Pressure Therapy (Massage Cupping)

The benefits of Negative Pressure therapy include local pain relief and muscle relaxation. Negative pressure therapy improves overall health by removing the energy blockages that massage therapist identify as barriers to the flow of healthy energy . For athletes, Negative pressure therapy   may help increase blood flow to a particular muscle region or  help reduce pain.

Compression Boots

Compression boots reduce muscle soreness, inflammation, and fatigue by improving circulation and lymphatic drainage, thereby accelerating recovery. Customizable settings in the boots allow users to personalize compression intensity and duration, ensuring a comfortable experience

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Cancellation fee

Appointments cancelled within 12 hours of schedule appointment will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of service fee.

 

Late Arrivals 

Late arrivals may not receive the full session time allotted for the treatment service booked.

Full payment will be required for the original time booked.

 

No-shows 

Clients who do not show up for their scheduled appointments, without prior notice, may be subject to a fee of between 50 and 100%, depending on the circumstances.
